This is such a powerful message! I had never thought about the order of love found in Matthew 22:34-40. And like many people today, I overlooked where love started: with Him passionately loving us first! God is so in love with us! This sermon reminded me of something I read in the book “The Lifestyle of a Prophet” by James W. Goll. In the first part of the book, Goll talks about developing a lifestyle of intimacy and how essential that is to a Christian’s life, regardless of your calling. At one point he brings up Song of Solomon 4:9 and how God captures our hearts with one glance of His eye. Then he says, “The amazing thing is, one glance of our own eyes shining back into His undoes His heart as well.” (p. 31) Man, this had me wrecked! It is all to easy to forget how much God is in love with us! Without us having to do a thing, God is searching for us and longing for us to look on His face and simply receive His love 🙂 Everything else flows from that.

This message is amazing! So simple and yet incredible! We only can love as we have been! Untill we experience His love ours will never be real! Great examples using Adam and Joseph so good pastor! Wow!
