For This Reason | Family Series Part II by Daniel Kim | May 11, 2014 | Sermons | 2 comments A sermon by Benjamin Robinson. 2 Comments Joseph R. Sevier on May 14, 2014 at 5:40 pm This was one of the most encouraging messages I have heard on marriage and manhood. Marriage is not an institute of the state, but a creation of God. It is sacred, not because the world says it is sacred, but because God says it is sacred. We need to guard marriage as sacred because it is the cornerstone of family. Your family will reflect your marriage and you are in control of this… Marriage is for grown folks! It’s not a game, it’s not something that should be approached lightly, and it definitely is not for immature children. When a man is ready to marry, he is ready to leave and cleave, to be united to his wife and sacrificially love her the way she deserves. Marriage is not about getting something from someone else, it is about giving something to someone else. Kids don’t know how to do this.
