This message is life-changing. This should be one of the fundamentals of living for Christ. Watching and Pray. A recent message preached has been in my spirit for over a month. The message stated that Christ calls us to “watch me, and do as I do”. This message was simply confirmation that I need to hold fast imitating Christ. And, the best way to imitate is by watching. It’s part of our preparation as disciplines and evangelists (even if we think it’s not applicable or doesn’t pertain to our current state). One of my former Bishops use to say “even if you don’t think you need it now, don’t put it in the trash can, just put it on the shelf.” We must start putting stuff in the storehouse, preparing ourselves for that day when we need it or someone else needs it.

Yes! The house of the righteous is filled with stores of precious things, but the fool devours all he has. We must learn to draw out treasures both old and new.
